Best New Media Device

So after doing a little digging on a few of the "top" devices, i found out that overall performance and usability to fit the consumers needs and accommodation would be the iPhone 4. Me being a technology nerd and always having to have the latest gadget i came to the conclusion that after reviewing and examining majority of the top selling devices that the iPhone is leading the pack. Although the iPhone is in the front i wouldn't say it is by far. Since technology changes so fast, since the last iPhone release, there have been multiple new devices with features that give the iPhone a run for its money. Mainly the simple fact that these new devices such as the Motorola Atrix, the HTC ThunderBolt and the Samsung Epic, are all running the latest network speed which is 4G. The iPhone, with its current edition, does not. It is still running on the 3G network. For me this is not really a make or break deal for the simple fact that the 4G network isn't really that large so these phones with 4G speed, if your not in a place with that service then your phone will usually run on the next available speed or edge which is slower then 3G. So in reality the iPhone large 3G network will still move just as fast. I feel that the usability of the iPhone over shadows almost every phone in the market for the simple fact that almost everyone uses iTunes which is compatible with the iPhone so it makes saving data and syncing information that much more convenient. No other phone i came across does this such thing. The iPhone usability fits the consumer needs because of the way its software is integrated. The iPhone allows the consumer to have complete control of the interface. The smoothness and quickness. It doesn't lag or isn't choppy when scrolling through your contacts or web pages. The iPhone also has the app store which no other phone has yet to even compete with. This is a big plus because you can basically make your phone do what it originally doest. For example, if you need a flashlight, "theres an app for that". If you need recipes for making an unfamiliar dish, "theres an app for that". To me the iPhone has set the standard for the smart phone market. The iPhone is very accessible. Its available in over 88 different countries as of September 2010 that number has probably increased since then. I feel that the iPhone is very useful. It has great utility. From my experience it does almost everything i need it to do. I find myself barely even using my desktop computer because my iPhone does everything it does but at the expense i can lay in my bed. The fair value of it can come at a pricey expense. i don't feel that the price is worth it for what you get for the simple fact that the look of the iPhone may change but the software has been the same pretty much since the original one was released. Just like with any other smart phone or device theres gonna be multiple choices. As far as the iPhone there is only one. Which is a downfall for me. As with the android it has multiple types of phones running its operating system and software so you have plenty of choices. With the iPhone you either have the newest one or the previous one. so there is not many choices to choose from. I will say it is very convenient and comes in handy. With all its features and size its portability is very convenient. The performance of the iPhone is definitely one of the best. I have had it since it first came out this last summer and i rarely have any issues with it. its very durable and reliable. The iPhone is in a class of its own. It is very unique and and has its own way of doing things that is like no other. So i feel the best new device would be the iPhone and all the things it has to offer to consumers.
